Our customer is seeking to expand its Sales Team by adding a new Sales Account Manager.

This person will be responsible for driving new sales in an innovative cloud-native company at the forefront of the new paradigms shaping the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry and other industries that need to manage large volumes of Video content.

We require a hands-on candidate willing to work with intensity and passion to promote and expand our Software-as-a-Service offering worldwide.

The selected person will be hired directly by our client as part of their staff, with an open-ended contract and a commitment to permanence.

Role description

We are seeking a young, dynamic, and results-driven Sales Account Manager to lead our B2B growth efforts in the media technology sector, working with innovative cloud-based solutions that transform industries.
 
Our customer targets not only companies in the Media & Entertainment industry but also companies in other sectors (Retail, Finance, Industrial, or Services) where Media and Video play an important role across different areas of the corporation, and that need to manage media more efficiently.

Education and training

  • University Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • Complementary studies and specialization in sales, marketing, and management development programs would be valuable.
  • Knowledge of sales planning techniques, sales processes, negotiation, distribution, and strategic alliances.

Requirements and experience

  • At least 3/4 years of proven experience and sales track record in the IT industry, software, and services. Ideally, in the media tech industry (but it’s not a must).
  • Knowledge in innovation, business digitalization and transformation, and entrepreneurship would be valuable.
  • Sales experience in SaaS and cloud solutions.
  • Ability to establish strategic alliances with third parties.
  • A proactive person who is able and willing to conceive creative value propositions and who can effectively communicate them to the prospect.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • A professional who knows how to inspire confidence in the client.
  • Experience in sales to large accounts in finance, telecommunications, utilities, manufacturing, insurance, and e-commerce would be a plus.

Main Functions

  • Develop and execute sales plans, define appropriate strategies, and lead their implementation in the territory.
  • Analyses, forecasts, and manages business for the customer accounts (Account Plans, Forecast, Action Plans, Risk Assessments).
  • Stay informed about trends in media tech, content delivery, and digital workflows, and provide feedback to internal teams (product, marketing, R&D) based on market insights.
  • Maintains relationships at the highest level within the customer organization.
  • Understand client needs deeply and tailor our customers’ solutions to help them succeed, fostering trust and confidence in your expertise.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle (with the support of Marketing and Engineering): prospecting, product demos, value propositions, negotiations, closing deals, and account onboarding.
  • Be the customer’s primary point of contact and orchestrate the group's resources to maximize impact, ensuring a clear return on investment.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings globally.
  • Plays the game concerning administrative procedures (expenses, travel) and sales procedures (CRM, forecasting, reporting).

Sales track record in the IT industry, flexibility, negotiation skills, customer focus, communication, team builder, analysis, creative thinking, persuasion, passion for innovation and technology, leadership, soft skills to contribute to a positive climate, knowledge of the use of collaborative tools, and tolerance to work under pressure.

Languages

  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • Some knowledge of Spanish would be desirable.
  • Additional languages are a plus.

Workplace

The company's offices are in Barcelona. The candidate should preferably live in Barcelona or Madrid, but other locations are not ruled out.

Travel

The position requires frequent travel.

Work permit

European Union citizen; otherwise, a valid job permit is mandatory.
